Our standard range Sealed Lead Acid batteries are valve regulated, have a spill proof construction which allows trouble-free and safe operation in almost any position*. The sealed system eliminates electrolyte checking and water addition too. Special vents, high purity lead (Pb) and grid alloys assure a low self-discharge rate and consequently a long shelf life. Storing the batteries at lower temperatures can also enhance the shelf life characteristics even further which make our batteries versatile in almost all conditions.

Power-Sonic Sponsors Customers 2010 Karma Enduro Rally Attempt...
Back in the summer of 2010 we were approached by an employee of one of our valued customers, Jamie Dawson, to sponsor him and his brother for a charity event.
The Enduro rally, a 2000km drive across the Indian Western Ghat mountain range in a 1950s, 35bhp car. Around 30 teams endure heat, heavy traffic (the most chaotic road system on earth), animals (the largest wild elephant population in Asia), pot holes, ford streams and climb mountains, whilst trying to avoid getting lost on the way!
Over the past few years the Karma Enduro rally have raised £495,918 for the two nominated charities which are the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity in the UK and Adventure Ashram in India. The Rainbow trust provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Adventure Ashram's aim is to help the poorest people who live on the routes that Global Enduro take through India, to achieve a higher standard of living through better health and education.
Jamie and his brother decided to take on the challenge of this fundraising adventure after personally both experiencing the great work that charities such as the Rainbow Trust do for bereaved families. In 1997 they lost their sister Sophie to a rare genetic disorder when she was 15 and decided they'd like to give something back.
Jamie has just confirmed that they completed their challenge and collectively raised over £250,000 for the Rainbow Trust.
There is a charming website all about the event and the good work that the charities do. Please take two minutes to visit: www.karmaenduro.com
Our congratulations go out to Jamie and his brother for a fantastic effort to help fund a great charity.
ROUTE DU RHUM - The Rum Race
The 2010 'Route du Rhum' has just ended - this increasingly well-known single-handed transatlantic yacht race, from St. Malo in France to the island of Guadeloupe in the West Indies, is in commemoration of the historical rum trade between France and its dependencies.
This year 87 ocean-going yachts in different categories took part, and a number of the winners and higher places used Power-Sonic 12Volt 100AH lead-acid batteries for auxiliary and back-up power sources.
The winning skipper in the Ultime Class of yachts, the fastest category (an average of 16.14 knots), was Franck Cammas on 'Groupama 3', with a winning time of 9 days and just over 3 hours, and third place in the category went to Thomas Coville on the yacht 'Sodebo' - both relied on Power-Sonic batteries.
Other yachts using Power-Sonic batteries were placed 1st and 2nd in the Imoca 60 foot Class - Roland Jourdain skippering 'Veolia Environment' and Arnel Le Cleac'h on 'Brit Air'- and the winner of the Multihull 50 foot Class Lionel, Lemonchois skippering 'Prince de Bretagne,' was another successful user of Power-Sonic during his crossing of the Atlantic.
Power-Sonic will be launching a brand new battery range in 2011 - more details to follow soon.
